The charming PURTON WEDDING VENUE

Tucked away in the charming village of Purton, Wiltshire, you'll find The Pear Tree wedding venue - an incredibly romantic wedding location with stories to tell. Established over 400 years ago in the picturesque Wiltshire countryside, this beautiful place has carved a legacy as a premier wedding venue surrounded by stunning historic charm. Can you believe it?  Over the centuries, it has become a top-rated hotel and wedding venue known for its exceptional service and fine cuisine.

Today, it exudes warmth and charm, benefiting from the experience of owners Anne and Francis Young, who had lovingly transformed the grounds since taking over in 1987 until 2019, before it was sold to a consortium. Some key upgrades include the addition of a vibrant 600-vine vineyard, three beehives and a wildflower meadow - creating idyllic photo backdrops. The kitchen garden supplies seasonal ingredients for the acclaimed on-site restaurant under talented Head Chef Adam, who tailors menus to dietary preferences.

The Pear Tree Swindon is one of my favourite wedding venues in Wiltshire. Your wedding day should be a reflection of your unique style and theme. As a Pear Tree at Purton wedding photographer and someone who has shot weddings there many times, I understand the importance of capturing the essence of your day and creating stunning photos. With my knowledge of the best locations for formal group photos and couple portraits - between the incredible gardens, vineyards, charming pathways and historic indoor spaces, there is no shortage of scenic backdrops; you can rest assured that I'll discreetly document every special moment without being noticed while you and your wedding guests relax and enjoy your big day with no distractions. My services will preserve these timeless memories, which will be cherished for years to come and shared with your loved ones in a beautiful album and digital files. Long after the festivities, you'll appreciate revisiting stunning images that captured your perfect day in this historic setting. What separates this venue from other Cotswolds wedding venues is the culmination of history, outstanding cuisine, and thoughtful hospitality that has earned the venue esteemed accolades, including the Rosette award.

The Pear Tree at Purton benefits from a prime location with easy access

Being located in the quintessentially English village of Purton puts this wedding venue near Swindon in a scenic rural setting, ideal for those wanting countryside charm. However, what some may not realise is that this idyllic locale is also extremely convenient to reach, thanks to its proximity to major roads and transport links.

Just a 10-minute drive from its location lies junction 16 of the M4 motorway, one of the UK's busiest routes. The M4 provides swift connections to both London and South West England, putting The Pear Tree at Purton within comfortable travelling distance for guests from all across the country. The motorway outlet can get you to the heart of London in under 1h30min, making it a breeze for those flying into Heathrow or other London airports.

Train travel is also a breeze, with Swindon Railway Station only a 15-minute drive away. This station sits on the main line with fast links to Paddington, making The National Rail network easily accessible. Swindon is also serviced by vital coach routes.

The large car park ensures arriving guests have ample space on site. The tranquillity of the rural venue feels a world away, yet your busy wedding party needn't worry about navigating narrow country lanes or public transport schedules thanks to the ease of major arteries nearby.

With the convenience of door-to-door journey times under an hour from London and all the benefits of a traditional English estate, this fabulous place certainly has a location on its side. The ease of accessibility makes it a top choice for couples from both near and far seeking a picturesque countryside escape for their special day.
