My approach to your wedding day

Your wedding photography shouldn’t dominate the day!

Weddings are about the people, the atmosphere, and the moments that happen naturally in between. My aim is to capture your day in a way that feels honest and true to how it actually happened.

My approach to photography and film is relaxed and natural, with no awkward posing or forced moments. I focus on what’s really happening, the emotions, the connections, and the small details that make your wedding feel like yours.

I work best with easy-going couples who care more about enjoying the day and making memories than following traditions for the sake of it.

On the day, I blend in like a guest and dress to fit the day, moving naturally through the wedding and capturing moments as they happen, without interrupting or drawing attention to myself.

Your day is about being present.

I always think back to my brother’s wedding, when they disappeared for a long time for photos. It really stayed with me how valuable that time is.

Your wedding day is about being with the people you love. It’s rare to have everyone you care about in the same place at the same time, and I don’t want you to miss that.

For your couple photos, I usually need around 20 minutes. I’ll give you light direction and simple prompts so everything feels relaxed and natural.

I’ll also take care of the family group photos, keeping things flowing smoothly so you can get back to enjoying the day without being away for hours.

Not into posing? That’s completely fine.

Not everyone feels comfortable in front of the camera, and that’s completely okay. You don’t need to know how to pose or worry about what to do.

A wedding isn’t a photoshoot. It’s a day you’ve spent months planning, and you deserve to enjoy it with the people you love.

When it comes to photos, there’s no pressure to perform or be anything other than yourselves. I’ll guide you gently when needed, keeping things relaxed, natural, and easy.

Often, your couple photos become a quiet moment together. A chance to take a breath, be present, and enjoy the fact that you’ve just got married..

Always present, but never obtrusive

On your wedding day, I’m there when it matters, but never in the way. Most of the time, I blend in with your guests, capturing moments as they naturally unfold. I’m relaxed, approachable, and easy to be around. I’ll share a few laughs along the way, but I’ll never ask you or your guests to do anything that feels staged or uncomfortable.

There are moments where gentle direction helps, especially during family photos or when the light is particularly good in a certain spot. When that happens, I’ll guide things calmly and efficiently, keeping everything relaxed and flowing.

Aside from that, my approach is fully documentary. I focus on real moments, real interactions, and the atmosphere of your day as it happens — from the morning preparations to heartfelt speeches and a busy dance floor later on.

Group photos matter too. We want to keep the family happy.

Family photos are important. It’s rare to have everyone you love together in one place, and these are the images you’ll appreciate more and more as time goes on.

This is usually the only part of the day that’s a little more structured, but I keep things relaxed, efficient, and easy. No awkward posing or long gaps away from your guests.

If you’d like, we can also do a few more natural group photos with your wedding party, keeping things fun and informal.

I’ll guide everything calmly so it runs smoothly, and you can get back to enjoying your day.

In a nutshell, Images that stand the test of time

I like to think of my work as classic, with a creative edge. Rather than following trends, I focus on telling the story of your day as it naturally unfolds.

That means honest moments, real emotions, and colours that feel true to life. The kind of images that won’t feel dated years from now, and that still reflect how your wedding day actually felt. My aim is for you to look back and be taken straight back to those moments. Not because the photos followed a trend, but because they feel real and familiar.

At the end of the day, these images are for you. For your memories, your people, and the moments you shared together.
